Grand Valley has announced its departure from the CVC to the Northeast Athletic Conference. It is unknown when the departure will occur, as GV has a two-year commitment with the CVC.

Painesville Harvey informed the NEC on 3/20/08 that they will be leaving the NEC for the Chagrin Valley Conference. According to the Star Beacon, "Harvey’s move to the CVC will go into effect after either the 2008-09 school year or the 2009-10 school year, depending on what the NEC wants."

Richmond Heights failed another levy in the Spring of 2008, which could put a halt to all sports starting in the fall of 2008.
